Be a traveller....make the difference!
I have always considered myself not a tourist..... .but a traveller!'
Not many people give it much thought when it comes to saying traveller or tourist, but majority of us choose the second.
What is the difference between a tourist and a traveller?.....Let me tell you about the traveller and then you understand the rest:
A traveller is a person travelling urged by a different kind of need,.....the need to explore, to learn and to create! Not be taken where others decide, not follow others ,not listen to pre-made guide speeches or eat food that's chosen for them. Travellers are more passionate about the idea of travelling, they are adventurous and they want to experience life like locals. Meeting people of the country you visit is a blessing! Get to know local people, listen to local stories and learn about local culture. Discover routes off the beaten track and not what the tourist industry carefully, yet commercially offers us.
I have to be honest, I have bought package tours myself(from excellent to mediocre ones....) and here comes the doubt:Toss the coin or plan it myself!...I go for the second one! I have travelled with a banch of friend, travelled with a partner, travelled with a best friend and also...travelled alone! I like everything! Every each one is different, thus provides a different experience and one has to be open to all kinds of experiences!
This is what I believe! Try everything till you find what suites you...same with travelling! If you fancy being taken to places, go for it....yet spare a moment thinking of what you lose and what you gain. Never hear me say...''Don't do this!'' or ''Do that!'' always weigh the pros and cons and the choise is yours! I have to say once again I am not against travel agencies and people doing their job respectfully but here I am to talk about a different way to travel........... so......GET TO KNOW THE WORLD....EXPLORE OUR AMAZING PLANET!
Even though I have been exploring the world for years, it was not up until recently that felt the necessity to share my experiences with other travellers, with the aim of helping, guiding or supporting them with their travels. A website is the way to pass my knowledge to all those who wish to go to places I have been to or even places I have yet to go. Through constant Internet research and day to day contact with my friends all over the world, I would be able to inform and provide useful advice to any traveller.....anybody who wants to explore the world, find the best routes, discover amazing corners of our beautiful planet!
