Hitchhiking in Scandinavia.
First time in my life,I hitchhike in Norway.I knew that it would save me some money and I had the time so did it!
Two girls hitchhiking in Norway, sounds fun!We had two advantages, daylight 24hs and one another. So we gave it a go!
First time was for a very short distance from Sadness to Stavanger, like 24km and we didn't wait much.Actually the man drove us all the way to Stavanger even though he was heading half way.
We felt positive and said''We try it with all our luggage for a longer route, this time Stavanger to Bergen.
It was sometimes ridiculousy easy and sometimes extremely hard to get a ride.It all depends to luck actually, pure luck!
It's of course much easier when you carry less luggage but even that is not a must to get a lift!
I would like to thank all those amazing people that helped us all along our way by helping us giving us a lift!
Many thanks to Bjorn, the truck driver ,who offered us a 4-hour lift from Mandalen to Tromso and even took us to our friend's door.Amazing 4hours laughing at jokes all along .Our last ride for this journey! He asked me what I ,would miss about Norway and without much thought I said
''Well, nature, its people.....and fish cakes!'' and it's all true!
God bless them all and bring them good luck and happy moments along the way!
Many thanks to Maya who found us stranded on a country lane and drove us a few miles down the road.So sweet and helpful, she even gave us her phone number in case we needed help.
God bless her!
I won't forget that kind middle-aged man,Jola, that we shared a ride with for 6 long hours on the best route in Norway, crossing mountains, lake and rivers from Bergen to Alesund.
We thank the Lapish family who found us stranded on E6 on our way to Alta and even drove a few extra kilometres to make sure we are at a GasStation where we could have food and plenty of cars nearby. We let us wear their Lapish hunting costumes and take beautifu pictures.God bless you all!
I will also like to thank all those other people that helped us continue our trip up North. It was a pleasure meeting them all. They made our journey special and worth remembering.God bless you and bring joy along your way!
